Every Friday, a predictive excursion into What Is Going On: politics/COVID>(hyper)inflation>cryptos>42-coin

But wow, readers: events moving so fast!! We are still getting our feet here!

This just in: Zero Hedge is calling it helicopter money:

‘Anarchists in hazmat suits poured gunk into a lake to frighten people into obeying the Gubmint.’

Nah, just kidding — it was the popo:

Next:

Lord Sumption: ‘The real problem is that when human societies lose their freedom, it's not usually because tyrants have taken it away. It's usually because people willingly surrender their freedom in return for protection against some external threat. And the threat is usually a real threat but usually exaggerated.’

Three things are happening simultaneously, readers:

One: the time-frames of lockdowns are being extended – remember, once upon a time, we thought it would be two weeks, maybe three?

Two: reports about police excesses are popping up like mushrooms.

Three: reports of looting*, etc.,* are likewise popping up.

So what comes next is a no-brainer, but note that less-stable nations, like India and Indonesia, are the ones the wave is soon to hit.

Tuesday 7th: I find the best metric is: 24-hr. new cases against the number of existing cases. This gives a percentage. And the drama begins when that percentage bams up over ten. Tonight: Guinea-Bissau @ 45%; Ethiopia over 10; Bangladesh @ 25; Russia @ 15: Mexico and Afghanistan both over ten.

If you can get some worthwhile totals from this doc., please post them.
